台鐵莒光號列車今(1)日上午竟發生冒煙情況，編號655車次因配電盤老化過熱，導致車廂冒煙飄臭味，該班次因而延誤52分抵達終點站，影響車上250名旅客行程，台鐵決議全額退費補償。

一輛莒光列車今日6時56分開抵新竹火車站時，第5節車廂突然冒煙飄臭味，列車長疏散車廂內約35名旅客到月台，台鐵局表示，事故疑因車上配電盤接觸器端子電線老化過熱所致。

出包列車車輛經摘解後，晚52分續開往高雄，延誤影響車上旅客約250人行程，台鐵依規定辦理全額退費；台鐵局表示，營運客車中近1/5老舊車輛急需汰換，已規劃辦理後續整體車輛汰換採購計畫，提昇整體旅客營運乘座服務品質。
