爭土地權印男子自焚身亡

印度東北部阿薩姆省(Assam)衛生部門官員表示，當地1名男子因為土地權不被政府承認，今天(24日)憤而自焚身亡。

官員指出，45歲的農民運動人士波羅(Pranab Boro)，在古瓦哈提市(Guwahati)，將自己澆上煤油之後，點火自焚。警方在用盡各種方法滅火之後，將他送醫；但是因為燃燒面積高達100%，仍然宣告不治。

由於當地政府拒絕8萬5千農戶的要求，不承認他們的土地權，引發波羅所屬農運團體的抗議。
