容安瀾：不贊同學生擾亂政府部門

針對兩岸服貿協議在國內引發的爭議，美國國務院前副發言人，現任華府智庫「史汀生中心」東亞研究室主任容安瀾表示，他身為美國人，非常尊重言論自由，但他不贊同以擾亂立法院或行政院等政府部門的行為。

容安瀾說，應該嚴肅看待抗議學生的關切事項，而非只是予以駁斥；學生有勇氣表達鮮明的立場值得讚賞，對台灣的民主的強度是讓人鼓舞的訊息。
