IC設計業者透露，近期台積電與聯電8吋與12吋廠訂單塞爆，出現「史上最長排隊潮」，導致晶圓交貨期由正常的一季增加至五個月以上，預估此波晶圓代工供不應求盛況，要到今年底才可望紓解。

法人認為，晶圓雙雄是此波晶圓代工產能供不應求的大贏家，但仍須留意客戶端是否為了搶產能，出現「重複下單（double booking）」現象，導致一旦熱潮一退、一切榮景都轉為「泡沫化」的疑慮。

IC設計業者則面臨考驗，短期內可能需要加價爭取晶圓代工產能，墊高成本。一旦晶圓代工廠無法提供充裕產能支援，恐導致IC設計業者無法如期出貨，錯失商機。～經濟日報2014年 6月23日頭版頭條
