獲釋美記者父：兒子冒險見證值得讚揚

美國記者柯蒂斯(Peter Theo Curtis)在敘利亞遭綁架逾2年後獲釋。他的父親帕德諾斯(Michael Padnos)25日表示，他的兒子和其他因為想要見證、並告訴世人當地實情，而冒險進入像是敘利亞這樣危險之地的人，值得獲得讚揚。
住在巴黎郊外的帕德諾斯在接受美聯社訪問時說，對他兒子無止盡的搜尋和等待，就如同「在黑暗中狩獵蝙蝠，在一個黑暗的洞穴中。」
根據帕德諾斯透露，筆名「西奧．帕德諾斯」(Theo Padnos)的柯蒂斯，24日晚間曾和他在波士頓的母親通話「不到一分鐘」，柯蒂斯說他很高興能「重返文明世界，還有看到一些女孩們。」
目前還不清楚柯蒂斯將在何時回到波士頓，他目前在以色列特拉維夫。柯蒂斯24日在戈蘭高地(Golan Heights)獲釋後就被送到當地。
美國國務卿凱瑞(John Kerry) 24日曾表示，美國是運用「所有可用的外交、情報和軍事工具」，才讓在敘利亞境內遭挾持的美國人得到釋放。
在這之前，伊斯蘭國組織(IS)好戰分子才剛斬殺了另一名美國記者佛里(James Foley)。
