（法新社巴西雷西夫23日電）克羅埃西亞今天1比3敗給墨西哥，無緣闖進世界盃足球賽16強，總教練坦然面對，並認為下半場為了追分變陣導致門戶洞開是落敗主因。

克羅埃西亞教頭柯瓦奇（Niko Kovac）表示：「這場比賽有很長一段時間輸贏未定，可是兩個角球決定了比賽的勝負。」「我們實力並不差，但對手今天表現更好。」

他坦然面對輸球，把矛頭指向下半場為了追分所做的變陣。

他說，他決定把陣型轉回克羅埃西亞比較慣用的4-2-3-1，「嘗試扭轉局面」。他說：「被踢進第1顆球，代表我們得進兩顆。我們後防洞開，被他們徹底擊敗。」
