巴基斯坦警方與部隊今天(24日)鳴槍示警，試圖驅散抗議糧食短缺的民眾，這些民眾是為了躲避巴基斯坦對塔利班份子進行的軍事行動而逃離家園。
巴基斯坦政府上星期開始，對塔利班好戰份子佔領的北瓦茲里斯坦(North Waziristan)部落地區發動空襲行動，迫使逾45萬居民逃離家園，他們主要逃到位於西北部偏遠地區的巴努鎮(Bannu)附近。
世界糧食計畫署(World Food Programme)23日開始分送糧食給難民，但由於糧食分送多次延誤，引發部份難民的怒火，今天甚至有民眾封鎖連結巴努到開柏普赫圖赫瓦省(Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)首府白夏瓦(Peshawar)的幹道。
法新社記者表示，約有500位民眾封鎖道路，並對維安人員丟擲石頭，警方與部隊被迫對空鳴槍示警，以驅逐群眾。
當地官員澤布(Aurang Zeb)表示，會設立更多糧食發放點，當局會盡一切可能幫助難民。
根據巴基斯坦軍方的說法，截至目前，這波攻擊行動已經擊斃約300名好戰份子。不過，這項數字很難獲得證實。
