「2013台北設計獎」將在4月30日開放報名，台北市產展局表示，今年總獎金達300萬元，競賽類別包括「工業設計類」、「視覺傳達設計類」及「公共空間設計類」，各類別金獎獎金高達50萬元。

北市產業發展局表示，為讓創作者更能發揮創意，今年起「台北設計獎」不再設定主題，希望創作者擺脫框架，運用設計來改善城市的經濟、社群、環境和文化發展。
